Dr. D.J. Shyy is the Principle Communications Engineer within the MITRE Corporation. D.J. has 28 years of industry experience in wireless communications, 18 years at MITRE. He has significant experiences in cellular systems design and protocols security in 3G (CDMA2000), 4G (LTE) and 5G.
He has five US patents in wireless communications. He received many awards from MITRE including one Technical Leadership award, five Director awards, one Program Recognition award, and one Knowledge Management award. He has more than 40 journal and conference publications. He has submitted multiple contributions to 3GPP 5G security standards body. He is an adjunct professor at George Mason Universities. D.J. received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA.
